Chili

I made chicken and white-bean chili today in the crock pot, and I ate two bowls of it already, even though it's only 2:00 pm.  That's ok, right?  I mean, everything was fully cooked before I put it in.  Basically the slow-cooker part of this recipe is just an excuse for the flavors to meld all day. 

Besides, no one but me is going to eat it anyway.  My kids don't like soup.  Or onions.  Or green chiles.  Neither does Surgeon Hubby.  Come to think of it, I can't figure out why I actually went to the considerable trouble to put this particular recipe together for supper.  Oh, wait...because I loooooove soup!  And onions.  And green chiles.  And the lots and lots of freshly ground black pepper I added (no, the family won't eat that either). 

So I'm still an ok person, even though I ate "supper" in the middle of the afternoon?  You're sure about that?  Ok, thanks.  I feel better.
