Hi, my name is...

Jessica.  That's my name.  I have three kiddos and another on the way.  I'm married to a surgeon.  I call him by his first name, even though almost everyone else (except his mother) calls him by his last.  He looks cute in scrubs.  I never get to see him in a scrub cap, but he looks pretty darn cute in those too (I made him put one on for me at home once, just so I could ogle).  He's my own McDreamy.  Thanks, Grey's Anatomy, for the handy nickname for hot surgeons.

This is me with my sister Kate.  I'm on the left, wearing purple.  It looks like I have a double chin but I don't care.  That's not a wound on Kate's nose; it's a piercing.  I knew you wanted to know.
This is my baby helping me in the kitchen.  He's sweet and adorable, and all boy.  We like to say that the more he wants to beat on you and wrestle you, the more it means he loves you.

This is my middle boy, eating a S'more on our last camping trip.  He's quirky, sensitive, fun-loving, and compassionate.  That's not his true smile; I'll find a better one eventually.

This is my only daughter, the oldest of my kids, showing off a fake tattoo she just put on her brother's stomach.

Here she is with a couple of her girlfriends on the first day of school this year.  She's on the far left in the turquoise hoodie.

Another picture of Kate and me.

I don't really like to change my earrings.  I wear a pair of (very nice) diamond studs that McDreamy bought me for Christmas one year, almost without exception.  It's kind of my Thing.  Every woman needs at least one fashion Thing - but not too many.  Too many Things spell random instead of unique, and a woman should feel unique for her own personal choice of Thing.  Anyway, the earrings are my Thing.

Some women have vast collections of earrings, and changing them to fit their outfits and/or moods brings joy to these women.  I have utmost respect for earring-lovers.  My own personal fashion approach tends to be a bit less...well-planned, shall we say?  (Which means I'm basically lazy.)

To all the women who shop and plan and find the perfect pair of earrings to go with their favorite outfits, and look all cute and put-together as a result - I respect and admire you.  I even aspire to be like you - just not enough to actually change.  Go ahead and look charming on behalf of the rest of us (namely me).  You're doing the world a service by sharing your beauty, and that's something that your lazier, less fashion-savvy counterparts simply cannot (or just do not) do.  Kudos to you!  And goodnight.
